Tun Sardon Link, Penang

Project data

Location: Penang, Malaysia

The Tun Sardon Link Bridge will start from Lebuhraya Thean Tek and end at Lebuh Bukit Jambul, is expected to complete by end of this year.   The construction of the bridge involves piers of 40m in height and a total length of the viaduct of 520m. The PERI Malaysia Team provided an economical and effective solution by designing and supplying 4 sets of Form Travelers together with PD8 shoring for the piers with safety as our top priority which resulted in the project team completing all elements ahead of the project schedule.   This alternative road is intended to ease traffic congestion along Jalan Paya Terubong, which is an arterial road linking Bayan Baru, Balik Pulau and Air Item, Penang.
