Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a team of Design Engineers and Designers in daily operation
  • Advise sales engineer and customer on most efficient self-climbing solution
  • Create and design climbing solutions that cater to customers' needs and are in line with local and PERI safety standards
  • Participate in project related kick-off meetings
  • Prioritize projects taking into consideration assembly time, equipment sourcing and delivery time 
  • Responsible for the quality of any document produced by his team of Design Engineers and Designers
  • Release (sign) GADs, BQs and statical calculations before these documents leave the Technical Department
  • Release (sign) assembly and fabrication drawings before these documents leave the Techinical Department
  • Check availability of products - check A-Products when large amounts are used, always check B-Products, consult technical manager on C-Products
  • Brief Formwork Instructors before arrival on site (hand over GADs, BQs and assembly drawings, give relevant "soft" information)
  • Follow product strategy (e.g. check availability of B-Products)
  • Support the Technical Manager whenever needed
  • Train team on the job
  • Practice subsidiary related standards
  • Knowledge of PERI design processes and products

Interdependencies/Interfaces

  • Support requirements from the technical manager in a competent and timely manner
  • Advise and support Sales Engineer in engineering related matter
  • Liaise with Operations Department in order to ensure performing deliveries
  • Coordinate site specific requirements with Formwork Instructor

Competencies and Experiences

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil, Industrial or Mechnical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years Engineering experience in self climbing technology
  • Excellent understanding of AutoCAD software
  • Fluency in English
