Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Functional lead Credit Management
• Recruiting of Credit Controllers
• Drive local Credit Management activities according to group guidelines and standards
• Conduct regular Credit Management meetings with all stakeholders
• Controlling bad debt exposure and expenses, through the direct management of credit terms
• Maintaining strong cash flows through efficient collections
• Setting credit terms and credit limits beyond those within Credit Controllers authority
• Setting credit rating criteria
• Monitoring the Accounts Receivable portfolio for trends and warning signs
• Ensuring timely & effective collection/dunning of receivables
• Routine visits with customers
• Enforcing the delivery stops to customers if necessary
• Pursuing legal remedies or other recovery actions for non-payers
• Ensuring an adequate Provision for bad debts
• Removing bad debts from the ledger (Bad Debt Write-Offs)

Professional requirement (experience, skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business Administration, Finance or similar field
• Experience in Credit Management
• Experience in developing, managing and leading teams
• Ability to deal with legal claims
• Proficient in Financial and Office software
• Good understanding of lending procedures
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Strong ability to build & manage external customer relationship
